Revise an Existing Program

Changes to existing degree programs and stand-alone certificates require approval through the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (ICHE) via their Routine Staff Action process. (See the post-campus approval information for additional detail.)

 

Note that for online programs (including hybrid), IU Online must be notified through their Initial Request Form (IRF) prior to proposal submission to the ALC.

 

Curriculum changes to existing degree programs are approved through IU-internal processes. New majors and area certificates require university level approval.
